Master Planner | Clipper Wind Power | Carpinteria, CA
SUMMARY:
This key position requires a skilled, highly analytical individual to
create, maintain, analyze, and deliver custom, insightful reporting from
an Integrated Master Production Schedule that will manage and drive all
supply chain and plant production assembly activities to support
Customer contract delivery dates.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares, develops, coordinates, and integrates all levels of plans
and schedules.
- Integrates within and across divisions to ensure resultant plans and
schedules accurately and comprehensively define the work content,
relationships, durations, and key milestones and decision points.
- Has extensive knowledge of program life cycles, understanding of
cash-flow-management, and works with commercial operations,
manufacturing, supply chain, contracts, finance, engineering, and fleet
services to translate customer requirements, manufacturing capacity,
product development timelines, logistics, and financial considerations
into an Integrated Master Production Schedule.
- Statuses the Integrated Master Production Schedule, analyzes
performance, and develops work around strategies and programmatic
what-ifs that are communicated to the sales and operations planning
team.
- Is a key contributor to program organization, team coordination,
internal and external performance reporting, risk management, and sales
and operations planning.
- Supports wind turbine assembly shipments to multi-national customers
from one assembly facility in the United States and also directly from
third party fabricators, some of which are located in Europe, South
America, Canada, Mexico and Asia. Due to the Company's high growth,
future scheduling will likely include international shipments sourced
from multiple assembly facilities.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to effectively manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills required.

- Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills
and be detail oriented.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to create, maintain, analyze, and deliver custom, insightful
reports from a powerful, well architected, flexible Integrated Master
Planning database.
- BS/BA degree in Logistics, Operations, Statistics, Finance or other
related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing, inventory
planning.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience using an advanced planning
system (i.e. i2, APO, Supply Chain Guru, or Manugistics) or MRP
software.
- APICS certification is desirable.
- Thorough understanding of supply planning and MRP concepts.
- EXPERT working knowledge of Microsoft Access, SQL, and Microsoft
Excel. Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data with many moving pieces and
develop systems for organizing, tracking, analyzing, and continually
communicating current key information to support business operations.
- Experience working with advanced ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle a
plus.
