Sr. Cyber Security Analyst | Raytheon | Los Alamos, NM
Raytheon is providing all activities necessary to assist the National
Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Office of the Chief Information
Office (OCIO) to plan, build, and operate their information technology
resources. Raytheon is responsible for program management, as well as
all aspects of the IT life cycle, supporting the NNSA OCIO and NNSA
Cyber Security program manager. Specific work focuses on IT strategy and
planning, enterprise architecture, security architecture, business case
development and analysis, system engineering, design and development,
deployment, and steady-state operations. Raytheon is providing
high-level strategic and tactical planning to the NNSA CIO's office,
including the preparation of budget and CPIC documents, OMB 300's, and
enterprise and security architecture development.
Job Description:
The qualified applicant will support cyber program activities in direct
support of the Federal site DAA (Designated Approval Authority) in Los
Alamos, New Mexico.
Responsibilities will include:
- Review and complete the certification and accreditation process for
site-based plans, systems, applications, etc. as required
- Review, revise, and complete all key program documentation to address
all known and newly discovered gaps and to address all related Federal
regulations and legislations and departmental requirements
- Remain abreast of ever-changing threats, environmental changes, and
ways to address and mitigate risk. Provide highly specialized support
and expertise to address current program gap areas and strengthen the
security posture of the site based on department's requirements and
industry best practices
- Review and comment on upcoming policies, guides, and manuals and
advise next-steps and action plans
Required Skills:
Must have a minimum of 8+ years experience working with information
management to include: information assurance, cyber security, network
security, risk management, security policy and implementation.
Successful candidates will have extensive cyber security knowledge,
background and expertise, and will maintain up-to-date knowledge of
threats and vulnerabilities as they arise. Must have excellent
communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of the C&A
process is critical. Previous experience with cyber security at a major
Federal department/agency is required.
Candidate must be able to participate in regular travel (20%) to CONUS
field sites.
Qualified applicants must meet minimum qualifications for access to
classified information. U.S. citizenship is required.
Required Education:
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical
discipline or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
Desired Skills:
Previous operational experience with network security, previous tactical
experience with development and implementation of security policies as
well as extensive experience with certification and accreditation of
Federal systems preferred. CISSP certification, knowledge of security
policy frameworks such as ISO 17799, classified systems requirements,
and risk assessment of current and emerging threats highly desired.
