Job Summary
Respond to questions from sales, customer service, waste generators, and
facility personnel. Record information into the AS400 system in
compliance with the Waste Analysis Plan, the Part B Permit, corporate
guidelines and federal regulations.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform
each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Respond to questions from sales, customer service, waste
generators, and facility personnel. Record information into the Service
Asystant program in the AS/400. Enter profile date in Lab Asystant in
the AS/400. Maintain hard copy records for easy retrieval and
audit. Knowledge of department and corporate standard practices,
guidelines and procedures for lab operations. Document and resolve
discrepancies. Handle sales samples. Familiarity with facility Waste
Analysis Plan.
- Assists in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and
operational issues.
- Maintains and distributes department related information on a daily
basis.
- Communicates with other supervisors and managers about operations
and/or dispatch issues.
- Completes and maintains a variety of reports as directed by the
department manager.
- Uses software tools to manage a variety of tasks, such as
procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor.
- Assists in the implementation of operational projects as needed.
- Communicates with customers about service issues as needed.
- Communicates with employees about scheduling and work assignments
as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications
necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Required: High school diploma or G.E.D, and zero to four years previous
experience.
Preferred: High school diploma or G.E.D, plus additional or specialized
training, and zero to four years previous experience. Previous job
experience in Lab or general chemistry training desirable.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
None required.
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
None required.
