Job Summary Responsible for developing, monitoring and implementing highly advanced tactical and strategic initiatives and projects in the procurement area in the support role for 2 Wheelabrator Waste to Energy Facilities. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. - Implements complex corporate and group sourcing programs in order to support the achievement of group cost reduction goals.
- Manages and develops highly advanced reporting tools to aid in the analysis of sourcing by supplier spend.
- Conducts detailed and highly complex analysis of supplier spend and other procurement metrics.
- Supports field communications and training support for all related procurement programs.
- Facilitates procurement scorecard process on initiatives such as: MWBE spend, supplier count reduction, contract compliance, and cost reduction.
- Responsible for all plant level Wheelabrator Service Contracts and Agreements.
- Provides timely and accurate execution of field requisitions from purchase order through approval and fulfillment.
- Completes tasks consistent with established sourcing and cost reduction strategies and objectives.
- Ensures total customer satisfaction (WTI internal) with supplier products and services and if required, leads remedial efforts.
- Provides assistance in the form of needs and benefit evaluations to internal customers requiring information on product features of various supplier products.
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of existing regional and national (WTI & WM) supplier partnerships and expert knowledge of W-T-E / Power Generation industry.
- Establishes professional relationships with key supplier personnel in both sales and fulfillment.
- Assists Procurement Management team, where required, in the identification and development of strategic supplier partners and the assessment of strategic partners performance against key performance indicators.
- Support for inventory and warehouse management through a collaborative effort with maintenance and operations to maintain appropriate levels of spare parts and consumable materials. Participate in physical inventories are required.
- Monitor status of all purchase orders in progress and provide order-tracking detail to internal customer.
- Maintains all procurement related files.
- Facilitates the internal customer and supplier problem resolution process.
- Completes the Corporate and Plant Training Programs within the time frame prescribed.
- Follows standard safety procedures and alerts management to safety and environmental hazards. Reads, understands, and implements safety rules, job hazard analyses, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Communicates clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing; as well as communicate clearly whether using in-situ intercom system, two-way radio or face to face, if requested.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory duties, but may occasionally act as a team lead.
IV. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. A. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or similar area of study, and five or more years of previous relevant experience.
Preferred: Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or similar area of study, and five or more years of previous relevant experience. B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements Preferred: CPM issued by ISM. C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required Advanced financial analysis and purchasing experience may be required. V.
