Serving the people of Southwestern Alaska, the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta
Regional Hospital is a 50-bed general acute care medical facility. Fully
accredited by JCAHO, services include adult med/surg, pediatrics,
obstetrics, emergency room, as well as outpatient family medicine
clinics, pharmacy, lab, and imaging.
Lead the Behavioral Health Department through provisions of technical
and analytical support of the Quality Management Process with respect to
the documentation accuracy of client files, units billed, prior
authorization and cycles of improvement to ensure that the entire
process from service to billing is consistent with state, federal
regulations and JCAHO requirements:
- Perform routine audits of BH client's files to ensure accurate
completion of necessary documentation to support the billing process.
- Provide meaningful and purposeful reports of audit findings to program
managers and Administration.
- Provide ongoing program coordinator training linked to internal audits
as well as other state and federal audits.
- Track, identify and implement associated audit corrective action as a
result of audit findings. Ensure through the use of specifically
designed tools.
- Manage and administer the Customer Satisfaction program for the BH
Department.
- Assist in coordinating and driving Sentinel Event investigations to
protect the patient, staff, and organization. Assists in implementation
of corrective actions. Monitors effectiveness of corrections in an
ongoing manner.
- Assist in establishing mechanisms for data collection, data
organization,, and data presentation that promote the organizational
philosophy of performance assessment and improvement.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Master's Degree in Behavioral Health or RN with
Psychiatric experience.
At least 3 years of postgraduate experience working in healthcare
related field and Two (2) years of quality assurance/quality management
experience. Experience with JCAHO and Medicaid regulation preferred.
Must obtain State of Alaska Professional license within 3 months of
employment.
